Serendipity Catering & Events

Serendipity Catering + Events is a full-service catering and event planning company that was established in 2002 by Debbie Tasoff after she relocated from North Carolina to Whidbey Island, Washington. The island is known for its natural beauty. She founded Serendipity Catering + Events by drawing on her prior experience in the hospitality industry and marketing, as well as her passion for all things culinary and entertaining. In the beginning, Serendipity was just a one-woman operation, but we've since expanded both our size and our scope thanks to the stellar reputation we've built for ourselves. Debbie's daughter Natalie became a full-time member of the team in 2015 when she received her degree from the University of Washington and assumed the role of sales manager and event producer. We have a deep-seated conviction that our relationships with our customers are just as important to the success of your event as the food that we prepare for you, and we take great satisfaction in upholding a long-standing history of hospitality and inclusivity for everyone. We offer modern cuisine from the West Coast that is flavorful, vibrant, and fresh. Our inspiration comes from both our local community as well as our extensive travels. Because we live on such a fertile island, we are able to purchase a significant portion of our goods directly from local craftspeople, producers, and merchants. As a result, we are able to contribute to the growth of our local economy by highlighting the exceptional quality of these goods.
